Episode #018: EPISODE 018 WYOMING GAME AND FISH OVERVIEW
January 22, 2019
This episode I talk with Sara Dirienzo from the Wyoming game and fish department. We discuss a wide variety of topics for applications season. With the closing deadline for Nonresidents coming soon at the end of January. We go over different types and meaning for different hunts. We will discuss the breakdown of the different tag allocations for nonresidents. Learn the difference between regular, random and special draws for some species. Super tags for Wyoming and Trifecta that would be unreal to draw, and they won’t effect once in a lifetime points. We also discuss most species and get a overview on how they are doing since the massive 2016 winter that hurt the western part of the state mainly for Mule Deer. Learn what species you can accumulate preference points for in Wyoming as a resident and nonresident. Learn about some new Mule Deer units. Also what a Type A license for a new Mountain Goat hunt that you could potentially draw every year. New changes with credit card fees. New changes for application season and when you can only buy a preference point only. Great insight on Wyoming and what it has to offer for people who want to hunt some big wilderness.
